Weight Watchers Honey Mustard Chicken recipe

This fall-worthy meal is as colourful as it’s nourishing. Rooster strips, coated in a candy and tangy honey-mustard sauceare served on high of a mattress of sautéed cabbage, kale, carrots and bell pepper — all sprinkled with dietary yeast for tacky, savory notes. Sunflowers seeds garnish the dish with a nutty crunch.

  • 10 oz rooster strips
  • 4 ¼ oz cabbage
  • 3 ½ oz kale
  • 5 ½ oz carrots
  • 3 ½ oz crimson bell pepper
  • 1 medium crimson onion
  • 1 ½ tbsp paprika-spiced arrowroot
  • ¼ cup honey-mustard sauce
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 2 ½ tsp dietary yeast
  1. Prep the veggies: Take away the middle stems from the kale and slice them into about ¼-inch items. Roughly chop the leaves into bite-size items. Lower the ends off the crimson onion and discard the peel. Lower in half lengthwise. Lay flat and medium cube into about ½-inch items. Medium cube the crimson bell pepper into about ½-inch items.
  2. Season the rooster: Press the rooster strips dry with a paper towel after which place them in a medium bowl. Season with salt, pepper and paprika-spiced arrowroot. Drizzle with about ¼ teaspoon cooking oil. Stir to coat evenly.
  3. Cook dinner the greens: In a medium saute pan, warmth about 1½ tablespoons cooking oil over medium-high warmth and add the carrots to the recent pan.
