I accomplished my month-to-month mileage problem on Strava yesterday. The goal was 600 km, and I completed with 1359 km (843 miles). Correcting for the driving that was achieved on my e-bike (see “” Word on e-bikes and recording mileage” right here), which is about 20% of the full, that is equal to about 1305 km unassisted (810 miles). This put me at 17,530 out of 280,312 who accomplished the problem, or 285 out of 17,533 in my 70-74 age group. It feels good to be within the high 10%. To place issues in perspective, although, I rode lower than 1 / 4 of the full put in by the chief (6,633 km), and even of the full put in by the chief in my age group (5802 km). However, this can be a lifetime PR for me, I don’t assume I’ve ridden a lot over 600 miles in a month beforehand. With that problem over, I believe I’ll reduce on mileage a bit and give attention to getting slightly quicker on my cruising pace.
The final 3 days of the week went like this. Friday I did a restoration cruise as a result of I had gone arduous final Thursday. Saturday was a brisker and longer experience of 29 miles, preserving my common coronary heart fee at 105. Yesterday was one other arduous day. After a warmup I tried a brand new time trial route I’d ridden on final Thursday. I did higher than Thursday, however solely by 7 seconds over 45 minutes! After that I did some intervals after which a cooldown experience. I’ll take it straightforward for the following couple of days to get well.
Friday’s experience is posted on Strava right here, Saturday’s right here, Yesterday’s right here.
